On May 31, 2024, Manuel Mork successfully defended his PhD dissertation, An Occupied Public: Wartime Propaganda, Informal Communication and Popular Protest in France (1940-44). He completed his PhD in the framework of a German-French cotutelle between the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and the École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay.
